Poppy "Possum Tail" - 1 year old X breed.
Price: -Poppy "Possum Tail" - 1 year old X breed.
13 months old
We are now with heavy hearts looking for a new, loving, caring permanent home for lovely Poppy Possum Tail, as our inhuman, bitter landlord is refusing to budge.
This is heartbreaking as our kids, especially the 9 year old with AUDHD, have really bonded with her and she has brought him out of his shell quite a bit in the short time she has been with us.
She's a x breed of some sort, nearly completely white, has just turned 1 and is a snuggly, funny dog who loves her food, tug of war, other dogs and especially her Humans.
Her and our other pup Lucy get on like a house on fire,
which is also why this is so hard.
She loves nothing more than snuggling up on the couch with whoever is available, or getting under the covers in bed at night.
She is crate trained for at night (when you've had enough of her being under the blankets, lol) and house toilet trained and she is getting better on her walks and learning about her inside voice.
She will talk to you when she wants to go outside or come back in, or when a trailer goes past outside, or when it's time for breakfast or dinner, lol.
When out walking she does tend to bark sometimes when seeing other dogs, but it's just to say hello as she wants to meet all the other dogs, and this is also getting better lately.
She also still pulls a bit whilst walking as she wants to be in front, typical 1 year old behaviour, but is also getting better.
Her and the cats here aren't the best of friends though, as she barks and we aren't sure if she wants to be friends or not.
We have kept them separated thus far between upstairs and downstairs with a babygate.
Might suit someone semi retired or who can take her to work with them as she has had daytime company for most of the time she has been with us.
She is on sensitive dog food as specified by the SPCA in CHCH where our friends got her from, this would need to continue.
We will be super selective with her new family, as she needs and deserves new parents/siblings who will love her and dote on her as much as we do.
