It is with a heavy heart that we are looking to re-home our beautiful Labradoodle, Obie. We’ve had a change in personal circumstances and can no longer provide the attention and commitment that he deserves. Obie has just turned 2. He has a lovely non-shedding curly wool coat. He is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and has no health problems. He is a medium size, but on the taller side. He weighs 20kg. He has really taken on his poodle side. He has always been so well cared for and loved.
He is a dream around the house now (past all the puppy craziness). Fully house trained, crate trained, he doesn’t jump up on furniture or counter surf anymore, he waits to be invited through doors. He has his mat that he lies on inside. He doesn’t resource guard at all. He easily gives up objects to human hands with a nice soft mouth. He has grown up with children and is always at ease with any children and tolerant. He has been well socialised with other dogs. He is calm and gentle around small dogs, and plays very enthusiastically with larger breed dogs eager to play.
Commands: come, sit, stay, fetch, find, on-your-mat, ah-ah (for no), heel, drop, gentle, quiet. He loves to swim and to run.

He needs of plenty of exercise and mental stimulation as well as companionship. He is used to being left for up to 6 hrs in the day (several days of the week). He’s a companion dog so would be most suited to someone who is home a lot. I’d say he’s moderately active – he sleeps a lot during the day and is more active morning and late afternoon.

The important thing is that he goes to another loving home. I would need to do a meet and greet and property inspection of any potential new owners to ensure that they are the right fit.
