Her highness Cassie was born in a reserve in Flatbush and made her way into the garage of a cat lover when she was around 4/5 months old. With teamwork she was trapped and came into care to have a crack at taming.

Cassie is intelligent and a bit conceited. She knows shes pretty and thinks she knows everything and to be fair she’s right about a bit. If you stop the scratches and pats when she’s not ready she will hook you with her paw or jaws and pull you back forward to continue. She is near impossible to pick up but no longer hates you for days for trying. Cassie has learned not to take these things personally.

She used to hide 24/7 but with extra attention and slow exposure she now sunbathes with the rest of the teens. She loves to play with people who have a thing on a string or stick and will stare creepily until you give her attention, she’s a bit confused it’s not all about her. She’s so confused sometimes she hisses softly under her breath when approached… only to beg for pats. We knew it was time to uncrate her when she started sitting pressed against the corner to literally hook us through the bars in for pats as we went by. Cassie has come so far, while she may not be a lap cat yet we know it’s not far away.

Cassie would love to be with another chill cat and would be fine in a house with teens. Because she can be physically demanding with pats she might frighten kids. Due to her sometimes dramatic nature no dogs is best. She has medium length fur and we are working on getting her used to grooming tools.
