Coast to Coast Cat Rescue - Bay of Islands

We thought we had found the perfect home for Harry 6 months ago, but unfortunately, it hasn't worked out. Despite trying lots of different things to help Harry has taken a dislike to an existing cat, so we need to try again.
Harry has scarring on his eyes and limited vision, so requires an inside only home unless the property is fully fenced in and he can’t get lost. He has trouble judging distances and has no depth perception. He also panics if he gets a fright (with a sudden noise - like spa jets coming on etc), which makes him dash about and he can hurt himself or get lost if was was able to have free rein outside. He jumps into things without realising they’re open (i.e., open lawnmower box or a toilet or sink full of water - he thinks it is a solid surface).
As you can see, he is an absolutely delightful boy and a real character. ??

A re-homing contribution is charged to help us recoup part of the cost of your pet's care during their stay with us, but by no means does this cover the full cost. We can also do a discount for taking a pair.

Coast to Coast Cat Rescue is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of cats. All of our funds go towards the welfare of these cats for food and vet care. They will receive a vet check, are desexed, vaccinated, mircochipped (this is also registered on the NZ Companion Animal Register for you) and full flea and worm treatments.

Our team of volunteers work hard to assess their personality and likes/dislikes so we can pair them up with their purrrfect fur-ever home. Because of this we do have an adoption process to go through. So please ask Sam for an application form to get this under way.
